What does your shelter provide for the cats?

We provide housing, food, daily necessities, and basic medical care for rescued cats. Our goal is to ensure they are safe, healthy, and ready for adoption into loving homes.

Can I visit the shelter?

Our shelter is not open for public visits to ensure a stress-free environment for the cats. However, we share regular updates and stories about our cats online, and you can connect with us through our social media accounts to learn more.

Why don’t you share the shelter’s location?

We keep our location private to ensure the safety and well-being of the cats in our care. This helps prevent unauthorized visits or animal drop-offs, allowing us to focus on cats truly in need. It also maintains a stress-free environment for the animals and protects our staff and property. By managing admissions through proper communication, we can provide the best possible care without risking overcrowding or resource strain. Your understanding helps us keep our shelter a safe haven for these cats.

How do you ensure the well-being of the cats in your care?

Our cats receive three full meals a day, enrichment activities, comfortable housing, and occasional medical checkups. We spare no effort in providing them a safe, happy life while in our care.

How can I get updates on the cats I’ve given?

We’re always happy to provide updates! Simply reach out to us on WhatsApp whenever you’d like to check in, and we’ll share how your cat is doing.

Are all the cats spayed/neutered and vaccinated?

Yes, all cats in our care are sterilized, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before being put up for adoption.

Do you provide medical care for the cats?

Yes, every cat in our care receives basic medical attention, including vaccinations, sterilization, and treatment for any health conditions before they are adopted.

What happens to cats that are not adopted?

All cats remain in our care for as long as they need. We ensure they are safe, well-fed, and loved until they find their forever homes.

How long do cats stay in your care?

Cats stay with us for as long as they need to. We are committed to providing them a safe, comfortable home until they find their forever families.

How can I adopt a cat from your shelter?

Visit the homepage here to see the cats available for adoption. Once you find a potential companion, follow our easy adoption process detailed on the site.

How big is your shelter?

Our shelter is situated on a 6,200 sqft private property with a built-up space spanning G+2 floors. It’s designed to comfortably house several hundred cats, providing them with ample room to roam, play, and relax in a safe and caring environment.

Is it free to admit rescued cats to your shelter?

Yes, admitting rescued cats to our shelter is completely free. We’re here to provide them with the care and support they need, thanks to the funding from O.TWO.O products.

Can I surrender my cat to your shelter?

Yes, if you can no longer care for your cat, please contact us. We understand that life circumstances can change, and we’re here to provide a safe space for your pet.

Can I surrender my cat temporarily and take it back later?

Unfortunately, we do not offer temporary care or the option to reclaim a surrendered cat. Once a cat is surrendered to us, we focus on finding them a permanent, loving home where they can thrive. If you’re uncertain about your decision, we encourage you to explore other options before surrendering your cat.

Can I bring any stray cat I find to your shelter?

We focus on providing care for cats that truly need it, such as those who were once indoor pets but are now abandoned and unable to survive outdoors, orphaned kittens, or struggling strays in poor condition. Healthy feral or stray cats that are accustomed to outdoor living are better left in their natural environment, as they are often skilled at surviving on their own. If you’re unsure about a cat’s situation, feel free to reach out, and we’ll guide you on the best course of action.

What should I do if I find a stray cat?

If the cat seems healthy and accustomed to outdoor life, they may not need help. However, if they are injured, malnourished, or appear abandoned, contact local animal services or rescuers.

Do you rehome cats that are feral?

We focus on cats that were once indoor pets and are unable to survive outdoors, as well as struggling strays or orphaned kittens. Healthy feral cats accustomed to outdoor life are not admitted to our shelter.

What kinds of cats are available for adoption?

We have cats of all ages, personalities, and breeds waiting for loving homes. From playful kittens to calm seniors, you’re sure to find the perfect match for your family.

What is your adoption process?

Start by browsing our website to view the cats available for adoption and choose your perfect match. Once you've selected a cat, fill out the adoption application form. If your application is approved, we will contact you on WhatsApp to guide you through the adoption process. Please ensure you provide an active WhatsApp number, as we do not communicate through email or social media accounts.

Is there an adoption fee?

Yes, we charge a small adoption fee of AED 250. This fee doesn’t cover the costs of caring for the cats but helps ensure that adopters are serious about providing a loving, lifelong home. It’s a small step to help us find the best match for our cats.

Plus, as a token of appreciation, we include a complimentary gift hamper from our supporter, O.TWO.O, with every adoption.

Where does the adoption fee go?

The adoption fee of AED 250 goes directly back into the shelter to support our ongoing care for the cats, including food, basic medical needs, and daily essentials. While it doesn’t cover the full costs, it helps us continue our mission to provide a safe and loving environment for the cats until they find their forever homes.

Can I adopt more than one cat?

Yes, but we allow a maximum of two cats per household to ensure they receive the care and attention they deserve. Some cats are bonded pairs and must be adopted together. For these pairs, we charge a discounted adoption fee of AED 300. Adopting a pair not only gives them a loving home but also keeps their special bond intact!

Can I visit a cat before adopting?

To maintain a stress-free environment for our cats, we do not allow visits before adoption. However, we provide detailed information and photos of each cat on our website to help you make an informed decision. Once your adoption is approved, we’ll guide you through the process to welcome your new companion home.

What if I want to return the cat because it didn’t work out?

We strongly encourage you to read our Guide to Welcoming a New Cat before adopting, as owning a cat requires patience, tolerance, and time for them to adjust to their new environment. If, despite your efforts, it truly doesn’t work out, please contact us to discuss the next steps.

However, please note that the adoption fee is non-refundable, and returning a cat means you will no longer be eligible to adopt another cat from us in the future. Adoption is a lifelong commitment, and we aim to ensure every cat finds the right home.

What happens if my adoption application is rejected?

If your application is not approved, it simply means that we felt the specific cat might not be the best fit for your home or circumstances. Our priority is finding the most suitable and safe environment for each cat. You are welcome to inquire about other cats or reapply in the future if your situation changes. We’re happy to work with you to find the right match!

Can I donate food or supplies to the shelter?

We deeply appreciate your thoughtfulness, but we do not accept donations of food, supplies or money. Our shelter is fully equipped with everything the cats need, and we ensure they receive three full meals a day without compromise.

Our goal is to remain fully independent, relying only on the funding provided by our brand O.TWO.O. This allows us to sustainably care for the cats and continue our mission.

If you’d like to support our mission, you can do so by shopping at otwooarabia.com. Your kindness means the world to us and our cats!

Can I volunteer at your shelter?

Currently, we do not have a volunteer program, but we appreciate your interest. You can support us by purchasing O.TWO.O products or sharing our mission with others.

Can I sponsor a cat?

Can I foster a cat?

You can also spread the word by telling your friends and family about us and encouraging them to shop as well. Together, we can make a bigger difference!

Do you conduct rescues?

No, we do not conduct rescues ourselves. We collaborate with rescuers who bring cats to us for shelter and care.

Do you take in other animals besides cats?

Our shelter is dedicated exclusively to cats. We do not take in other animals, as our resources and expertise are focused on feline care.
